El reloj de hoy; Oris.... Der Meistertaucher.

Misión para equipos de élite: paracaidistas, submarinistas en situaciones extremas.

Protegidos por la oscuridad y el agua, son capaces de controlar áreas costeras. Bajo las condiciones mas extremas, capaces de luchar contra cualquier imprevisto, pueden reconocer barcos, instalaciones portuarias, esclusas y puentes, así como defender sus infraestructuras marinas y sus barcos, rescatar personas, y desactivar minas y bombas.

Pues bien, el Meistertaucher (maestro de buzos), también es capaz de afrontar las situaciones mas adversas y difíciles, concebido y diseñado para tal fin, y con la garantía de ofrecer un instrumento profesional y seguro para los buzos de élite.

En Eckernforde (Mar Báltico), el Meistertaucher fue sometido a los rigurosos test de la “Wehrtechnishen Dienststelle für Schiffe und Marinewaffen”, (sección técnica del ejército federal Alemán para navíos y armamento de guerra WTD 71) http://www.bwb.org/portal/a/bwb/diensts/wtd71.

Allí se encuentran mas de 100 buzos, oficinas administrativas para buzos y el armamento marítimo del ejército federal alemán.

El reloj superó en cámara de presión los 100 Bares (1000 m), consiguiendo así la certificación ISO 2281. Los técnicos comprobaron también el ratio de antimagnetismo, certificando a esta herramienta con la ISO 764 y bautizándola como Der Meistertaucher (el maestro de buzos).

Y la fecha fue en Junio de 2003, cuando el WTD 71 mantuvo el Meistertaucher a una presión de 100 bar y el reloj pasó el test durante mas de tres horas en cámara de presión y otras pruebas de durabilidad, tal y como certifica el WTD 71.

Preguntado en su momento a Oris (por los foreros de WuS) ante el hecho de no haber certificado al Meister con la ISO 6425 (el estándar para los divers), esta contestó lo siguiente: (en inglés, claro).

"During the development of this watch we had worked very close to a testing laboratory in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Chronofiable SA).

Company Chronofiable advised us that the testing with ISO 2281 is suffice for the new divers watch. The testing ISO 2281 is extensive.

Please find enclosed the details of the testing procedure:

Water resistant test with air, pressure 0,5 to 2 bar Condensation test Water resistant test in water, in a depth of 10cm for 1 hour Water resistant test in water for the moving parts (crown and valve) with a force of 5N in a depth of 10cm for 5 minutes Water resistant test with different temperatures (40°C, 20°C, 40°C, each 5 minutes, in a depth of 10cm under water) Water resistant test under water with 100 bar for 10minutes

Beside all these test we had tested the watch in Germany by the Navy (Wehrtechnische Dienststelle für Schiffe und Marinewaffen, WTD 71 Eckernförde). In there report no. WTD 71-530-010/2003 they had tested the watch in a depth of 100 bar for 3 hour.

All tests are positive, all watches had been water resistant.

We had also tested a few watches with the ISO 6425 (maximum pressure 125 bar for 2 hours). But this test is not represented for all watches, that we could use the ISO 6425 on the dial. The reason is that we did not test each watch with the ISO 6425, only a few pieces".
